NEPTUNEZ SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Site Reliability Engineer L7(Java, Banking, Splunk, API flows, Microservices architecture, ServiceNow, Figma designs) internship — a 12-month, on-site Software Engineering role based in Singapore. It is an unpaid internship. It is open to university students, typically in Year 2–4. Applicants with experience in Service Level Agreement Management, ITIL Process, Splunk, Incident Investigation Management, and Root Cause Analysis are a strong fit.
About this role
Key Responsibilities • Provide L2/L3 application and production support for business-critical applications. • Monitor application performance and system health using industry-standard monitoring tools. • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within agreed service levels. • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring issues. • Work closely with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to ensure smooth system operations. • Support application deployments, releases, and change management activities. • Analyse application logs, API transactions, and database records to identify and resolve issues. • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets through ITIL-based processes. • Participate in on-call support and production maintenance activities as required. • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), production verification, and post-release support. • Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks. Requirements • 7+ years of experience in Software Development with extensive experience in Java, Microservices architecture, API and ServiceNow. • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Banking domain • Hands-on expertise in Linux (commands, system operations) • Good experience in Grafana and Figma designs • Strong scripting skills experience in Shell, Python and Jython • Experience with Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Splunk • Experience in ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. • Strong expertise in SQL and database troubleshooting (query optimization, performance tuning, and data analysis for incident resolution) • Strong experience in incident management and distributed systems support , excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills & automation of operational tasks • Working experience of Java (1.8+) • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments. • Experience in AWS cloud services and cloud-based application support. • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and ServiceNow. • Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis skills. • Experience with application monitoring, alert management, and operational support. • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. • Exposure to UAT coordination and stakeholder management. • Experience working in high-availability production environments. • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. • Support onboarding and guidance of junior team members • Knowledge of additional programming languages like C, C++, Go, Perl, Ruby • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., BlazeMeter) • Exposure to payments or real-time transaction systems • Understanding of DevOps and automation practices
