Software Engineer (Embedded/AWS IoT)

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain IoT edge software and cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration between devices, edge systems, and backend services. • Develop and deploy scalable backend services using both serverless and server-based architectures. • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and DevOps practices. • Perform system integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and ongoing performance optimisation. • Configure monitoring, alerting, access controls, and cybersecurity measures to ensure system reliability and security. • Enhance existing platforms through feature development, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements • Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines. • Minimum 3 years of experience in IoT systems, cloud infrastructure, or software engineering within a production environment. • Hands-on experience with IoT technologies, edge computing, and device-to-cloud communication protocols (e.g. MQTT, RabbitMQ, CoAP). • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or .NET. • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.Good understanding of DevOps practices and hybrid cloud environments. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. • Experience with AWS IoT Greengrass, embedded systems, industrial protocols (Modbus, RS-485), or hardware integration will be greatly advantageous By submitting your resume, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information per ScienTec’s Privacy Policy (scientecconsulting.com/privacy-policy).
