Storage Resident Engineer

Systems Engineer (Enterprise Storage / Data Centre Infrastructure) (Internal Title: Storage Resident Engineer) We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Enterprise Storage) to support and manage enterprise-grade storage infrastructure within a large-scale data centre environment. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance optimisation, and resilience of storage platforms, while supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. Key Responsibilities• Manage and administer enterprise storage platforms including Dell EMC PowerMax / PowerScale • Perform storage provisioning, allocation, and performance tuning across SAN/NAS environments • Implement and support disaster recovery (DR) and data replication solutions (e.g., SRDF) • Install, configure, and maintain storage hardware and related infrastructure • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability • Handle incident, problem, and change management in line with ITIL best practices • Troubleshoot storage, OS, and connectivity issues across Linux/Windows environments • Collaborate with network, cloud, and application teams to support infrastructure needs • Ensure compliance with security and operational standards RequirementsEducation & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure / storage engineering • Proven experience in managing large-scale storage environments Technical Skills• Strong expertise in SAN/NAS storage technologies • Hands-on experience with:Dell EMC PowerMax / PowerScaleSRDF (Synchronous / Asynchronous / Metro) • Solid understanding of:Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity planningLinux and/or Windows system administrationStorage networking concepts (FC, iSCSI) • Experience in hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting • Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management) Preferred Skills• Exposure to security practices (e.g., vulnerability remediation, certificate management) • Relevant certifications in storage or infrastructure technologies (e.g., Dell EMC, VMware, ITIL) Soft Skills• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Good communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently in a client-facing / onsite environment
