About this role
Key Responsibilities1. School Discipline & Case Management• Collaboration: Partner with the Student Engagement and Discipline (SED) / Student Management (SM) Committee teams to implement positive discipline strategies. • Investigation: Conduct fact-finding and case investigations by reviewing CCTV footage, interviewing relevant stakeholders (teachers, staff, students), and preparing comprehensive findings/recommendations. • Administration: Process late-coming students, maintain updated documentation/records, and compile incident reports. • Student Supervision: Supervise and support students undergoing internal suspension or detention, and actively locate unaccounted students. • Deterrence: Proactively detect, deter, and report prohibited student activities, such as vaping and smoking. 2. Patrol Duties & Student Supervision• Presence: Maintain a highly visible presence to promote good student behavior, grooming, and appearance. • Patrol Areas: Conduct regular patrols in designated zones including: • School Canteen: Maintain order and manage minor conflicts during recess and lunch breaks. • Free Play Areas: Ensure safe use of equipment and de-escalate peer conflicts. • Toilets: Monitor for inappropriate activities (vaping/smoking). • Surrounding Community: Patrol nearby blocks and build partnerships with community stakeholders (residents, stall vendors, grassroots networks) to monitor student behavior outside school bounds. 3. School Operations & Event Support• Events: Provide logistics and student management support during school events (e.g., Annual Run, Cohort Camps, Emergency Exercises). • Examinations: Assist the Examination Committee with escort duties and invigilation support for special rooms. • Stakeholder Meetings: Support meetings and conferences involving parents and students. • Non-Student Days: Assist in administrative and operational reviews on days when students are not in school (e.g., safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and facility maintenance). Job RequirementsQualifications & Experience• Education: Minimally a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. • Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in managing youth. • Valued Background: Prior experience in managing/supervising teenagers regarding disciplinary proceedings, case management, or behavioral support is strongly valued. • Preferred: Former personnel from national uniform services are highly preferred. Skills & Competencies• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for compiling reports and documenting cases. • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Attributes: Must be emotionally stable, resilient, culturally sensitive, and capable of maintaining a firm yet caring approach. • Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to defuse high-tension situations, mediate peer conflicts, and guide behavioral issues while acting as a positive role model.
