Position OverviewAre you an A-Level high-achiever with a passion for advanced mathematics? We are seeking a sharp, articulate Summer Math Teaching Intern to lead our small-group instructional classes. Unlike traditional internships that only offer administrative or assisting work, this role puts you at the front of the classroom. You will take ownership of leading small groups of motivated students, guiding them through the rigors of A-Level H2 Mathematics and Further Mathematics, while also contributing to our growing academic content on social media. Key Responsibilities1. Small-Group Teaching & Leadership• Lead Instruction: Take the lead in teaching conceptual frameworks and problem-solving techniques for H2 Mathematics and Further Mathematics in small-group settings. • Targeted Mentorship: Identify student learning gaps in complex topics (e.g., Calculus, Linear Algebra, Complex Numbers, and Statistics) and deliver targeted, high-yield explanations. • Curriculum Customization: Adapt existing resources to create high-quality worksheets, topical tests, and summary notes tailored to the needs of your small groups. 2. Content Creation & Social Media• Xiaohongshu (RedNote) Content: Translate your math expertise into engaging online content. Assist in providing content input to our page featuring Math study hacks, cheat sheets, and breakdowns of notoriously difficult exam questions. • Student Spotlights: Write short, encouraging updates or highlight student breakthrough moments for our community. 3. Academic Planning• Participate in team syncs to review student progress and align on teaching strategies. • Work independently to prepare lesson plans that ensure high student engagement and academic clarity. Requirements• Academic Background: Current undergraduate student or recent graduate majoring in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or a heavily quantitative discipline. • Subject Matter Expertise: Exceptional academic track record in the A-Levels, specifically in H2 Mathematics and H2 Further Mathematics (or equivalent rigorous content). • Communication Skills: Exceptional command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to clearly articulate complex mathematical proofs and engage with a bilingual student base. • Teaching Persona: Confident, patient, and engaging. You must be comfortable commanding a small classroom and inspiring confidence in struggling students. Preferred Skills• Prior experience tutoring peers or juniors in H2/Further Math. • Proficiency with online teaching tech (iPad presentation tools, GoodNotes, Miro, or Zoom).
