Get to Know the Role We are looking for an Application Engineering technician to assist our engineers to ensure customer satisfaction, product compliance, and fast response to quality issues. You will work closely with various departments to support new product launches and address customer issues. Success in this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Essential Responsibilities • Support daily activities, work Application Engineering related to customer quality issues, feedback, and inquiries. • Receive and log customer complaints, ensuring accurate and complete information. • Support engineers to perform initial containment actions (e.g., identifying risky products, rework coordination). • Support root cause investigations together with Application Engineering & QA engineers. • Assisting in preparing 8D reports, corrective and preventive action documentation. • Follow up on open issues to ensure timely closure. • Assisting in preparing customer quality reports (e.g. defect trends, SPC), monitoring quality trends and reporting non-conformances to engineers. Other Responsibilities • Support customer visits, audits, or product reviews by providing data and samples. • Coordination of the engineer sample evaluation. Skills and Competencies Profile Required Qualifications • Diploma or equivalent experience in quality or manufacturing. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply. • Knowledge of Microsoft office tools. • Experience in quality documentation, filing& folder Organization • Willingness to work in a hands-on, clean room environment when required Technical Skills: • Knowledge of Microsoft office tools • Basic knowledge of statistical or quality tools Soft Skills: • Communication skills • Attention to detail • Teamwork& cross-functional collaboration HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
