About this role
To facilitate and deliver guided educational programmes and site-based learning journeys, ensuring participants are actively engaged, informed, and provided with a safe and positive learning experience. Key Responsibilities Programme Facilitation To attend a compulsory 2-days training To attend all safety briefing before tour. Conduct guided tours, learning journeys, and educational programmes in English. Deliver programme content in an engaging, interactive, and professional manner that encourages participant involvement and discussion. Adapt facilitation techniques to suit different participant profiles and group dynamics. Ensure participants remain engaged throughout the programme while maintaining a positive learning environment. Participant Management Manage and coordinate participant groups professionally during programme sessions. Address participant queries, concerns, and feedback effectively and courteously. Ensure participant safety and wellbeing throughout programme activities. Maintain continuous supervision of participants and ensure they are not left unattended during programme sessions. Operational Support Arrive at programme venues at least 15 minutes before scheduled commencement to prepare for participant arrival. Set up, operate, and maintain portable audio equipment, including microphones and speakers, to support programme delivery. Ensure all programme materials and equipment are prepared and functional prior to each session. Reporting and Feedback Collect and document participant questions, feedback, and comments. Prepare and submit programme feedback reports within stipulated timelines. Escalate operational issues, participant concerns, and improvement opportunities to management. Professional Standards Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times. Adhere to organisational policies, safety requirements, and programme procedures. Refrain from smoking, consuming alcohol, or being under the influence of alcohol while on duty. Represent the organisation professionally and refrain from unauthorised marketing, promotion, or public statements on behalf of the organisation. Requirements Experience in tour guiding, educational facilitation, public engagement, customer service, or related fields. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage diverse audiences and manage group interactions effectively. Confident public speaker with the ability to handle questions professionally. Comfortable working outdoors and at various programme locations. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in English; additional languages will be an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Tour guide licence is preferred Experience conducting guided tours, learning journeys, environmental education programmes, or public outreach activities. Familiarity with portable audio equipment and event facilitation. First aid certification is an advantage.
