About this role
Key Responsibilities • Process and handle Trade Finance products, including Import/Export Documentation, Letter of Credit (LC) Issuance, and Import Financing. • Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with established operating procedures and compliance requirements. • Meet daily processing deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Adhere to departmental SOPs, bank policies, and regulatory guidelines. • Perform trade sanctions screening, LLI checks, IMB checks, identify potential red flags, and escalate issues in accordance with bank procedures. • Escalate operational risk incidents promptly and appropriately. • Respond to client enquiries professionally and provide guidance on trade finance matters. • Liaise with clients to clarify instructions and obtain complete documentation prior to transaction execution. • Manage daily workflow effectively to meet client expectations and operational targets. • Monitor transactions and provide end-to-end follow-up for structured trade deals, including regular updates to the Structured Trade Middle Office (STMO). • Collaborate closely with STMO, Business Units, Global Transaction Services (GTS), and other internal stakeholders. • Maintain proper filing, documentation, and archival of trade finance records and bills. • Handle DHL courier manifests, document enveloping, and related administrative duties. • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve processes. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. • Relevant experience in Trade Finance Operations, Trade Processing, or Banking Operations preferred. • Knowledge of Trade Finance products, UCP 600, ISBP, and international trade practices is advantageous. • Familiarity with sanctions screening and compliance requirements. • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and risk awareness. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
