Unix / Linux Admin

Responsibilities • Administer Unix Linux servers by providing L2 and L3 support to maintain system stability and performance • Perform patching and upgrade activities to keep server environments secure and up to date • Install and configure new server instances and environments to support project requirements • Manage high availability clustered systems to ensure continuous service uptime • Execute backup and recovery procedures to protect data integrity and availability • Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate with OEM vendors to resolve faults • Apply performance tuning techniques and support cross-platform migrations to optimize system efficiency • Support change management processes and disaster recovery planning to minimize operational risks • Develop and use automation scripts to streamline server administration tasks (preferred) • Utilize data center operational knowledge to enhance infrastructure management (preferred) • Maintain familiarity with both legacy and latest technologies to support diverse environments (preferred) • Experience with automation scripting to improve operational efficiency • Knowledge of data center operations • Change management and disaster recovery experience
