Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated and vigilant WSH Coordinator to join our project team. In this role, you will be stationed at our project sites to implement safety policies, conduct regular risk assessments, and ensure full statutory compliance with the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act, specifically tailored to semiconductor fabrication plant (Fab) construction/MEP project environments. Key Responsibilities • Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct daily site safety inspections, identify unsafe work conditions or non-compliance, and enforce corrective actions immediately. • Risk Management: Assist in compiling, reviewing, and maintaining the Master Risk Assessment records and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for all on-site activities (e.g., confined spaces, working at heights, high-purity gas piping installation). • Permit-to-Work (PTW) Oversight: Review and process daily Permit-to-Work applications for high-risk operations prior to construction activities. • Incident Investigation: Respond promptly to near-misses, incidents, or accidents. Conduct thorough root-cause investigations, prepare incident reports, and submit necessary findings to management (and MOM iReport if required). • Safety Training & Culture: Organize and conduct site safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety promotion activities to foster a strong safety culture among sub-contractors and workers. • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and update all safety documentation, training logs, and inspection records to ensure compliance with international safety standards (ISO 45001) and local regulatory bodies. Job RequirementsProfessional Qualifications & Certifications • Must possess a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH Level B) or equivalent certification recognized by MOM. • Possession of standard operational safety certificates is highly advantageous (e.g., Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) or Managing Work At Heights / Confined Space Safety Assessors). Experience & Skills • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Safety Coordinator, preferably within high-tech industrial construction, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor construction sectors. • Strong foundational knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act and subsidiary legislations. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with client representatives, project managers, and site workers. • A proactive approach to hazard identification and a strong sense of responsibility.
