Application Process & Timeline
- Online Application — dbs.com/careers. Summer intake applications open January–March.
- Online Technical Assessment — HackerRank coding challenge (two questions, medium difficulty) for TechStar and Data & AI tracks. Spark tracks use a business case assessment.
- Technical Interview — 45–60 minutes. SWE candidates: data structures, algorithms, system design. Data candidates: statistics, ML concepts, SQL.
- HR / Culture Fit Interview — DBS values: purpose-driven, creative, adaptable, and bold. Behavioural questions aligned to these values.
- Offer — Two to three weeks after final interview.
Tips to Get Selected
- Master cloud fundamentals. DBS runs on AWS at scale. Demonstrating familiarity with EC2, S3, Lambda, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) differentiates you even if your formal education has not covered cloud platforms.
- Know DBS's hackathon history. DBS runs the largest bank-organised hackathon in Asia (the DBS Hack). Participating in this hackathon — open to all students — or referencing its themes shows genuine engagement with the bank's innovation agenda.
