Key Internship Programmes
EY Student Internship Programme (ESIP) — Eight to twelve weeks running May–August and December–January. All service lines: Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions (EY-Parthenon, Transaction Advisory), Consulting (Technology Risk, Digital, Risk Consulting).
EY-Parthenon Strategy Intern — A specifically competitive track within the Strategy & Transactions service line, focused on strategic M&A advisory, market entry strategy, and portfolio strategy for C-suite clients.
EY Technology Risk Intern — Cybersecurity, IT audit, and technology risk advisory. Strong fit for IS and CS students.
EY Assurance with AI — A newer track where Assurance interns use EY's AI-enabled audit tools, learning how machine learning is applied to financial statement analysis.

Application Process & Timeline
- Online Application — ey.com/en_sg/careers. Summer intake opens October–February. December intake opens August–September.
- Online Assessment — EY uses a gamified cognitive assessment and a situational judgement test.
- Video Interview — HireVue-based competency questions aligned to EY's values.
- Business Interview — With a Manager or Senior Manager. Mix of competency, motivation, and line-specific technical questions.
- Offer — Two to three weeks after final interview.

- Research EY-Parthenon. EY acquired Parthenon Group in 2014, creating one of the world's largest strategy consulting practices within a Big Four firm. EY-Parthenon Singapore works on strategic M&A and growth strategy for major ASEAN corporates and PE firms. Knowing this history and the types of engagements EY-Parthenon handles positions you well.
- Know EY's AI in Audit story. EY has invested over $1 billion in its "EY Canvas" AI-enabled audit platform. Being able to discuss how AI is changing the assurance profession — not replacing auditors but augmenting judgment — demonstrates current industry awareness.
- For Technology Risk, study the frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines. These are the actual standards EY Singapore's technology risk team works with.
- Attend the EY Discover event. Like PwC Changemakers and Deloitte Brilliant Challenge, the first-year event is a genuine differentiator. Attend, engage, and follow up with managers you meet.
- Prepare for EY's "EY Way" cultural questions. EY's core values are integrity, respect, and teaming. Interviewers ask about collaborative experiences and situations where you had to resolve a team conflict. Prepare genuine examples.
What the Internship Is Like
EY Singapore interns are embedded in real client service teams from day one. Assurance interns attend client fieldwork, review working papers, and perform substantive testing. Tax interns prepare corporate tax returns and research tax planning structures. EY-Parthenon interns work on live strategic engagements with deep analytical work.

Return Offers & Full-Time Conversion
EY Singapore converts approximately 50–65% of interns. Full-time offers lead into EY's Associate programme with support for professional qualifications (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA). EY-Parthenon hires are offered direct Associate Consultant roles with a separate progression track from Assurance and Tax.
