- Strengths-Based Interview — PwC uses a strengths-based interview model. Questions focus on natural energisers and capabilities rather than STAR competency examples.

Tips to Get Selected
- Understand PwC's strengths model. Like StanChart, PwC uses a strengths-based approach. Be authentic. Talk about what you genuinely enjoy doing and where you naturally excel — do not rehearse canned STAR answers.
- Research PwC's ESG practice. PwC Singapore has invested heavily in ESG assurance, sustainability reporting, and climate risk advisory. Knowing PwC's role in Singapore's ISSB-aligned sustainability reporting framework or MAS green taxonomy work is a strong signal.
- For Deals, understand the deal lifecycle: buy-side vs. sell-side, due diligence process, transaction structure. PwC's financial due diligence work is excellent training. Showing awareness of recent Singapore M&A transactions adds credibility.
- Leverage the Changemakers event. PwC Singapore's first-year insight programme consistently converts attendees into summer interns at a higher rate than general applicants.
- Show digital curiosity. PwC's "New World. New Skills." initiative means interviewers want to see students who are excited about how AI, data analytics, and automation are changing professional services.
What the Internship Is Like
PwC Singapore runs a well-structured intern programme with formal onboarding, buddy assignments, and a mid-internship review. Assurance interns work directly on real client engagements — attending client premises, reviewing financial documents, and performing testing procedures under manager supervision. Deals interns contribute to live transaction processes, including building models and writing sections of due diligence reports.
Consulting interns participate in client workshops, analysis, and presentation preparation. Technology interns build data pipelines, dashboards, or automation tools for internal or client use.
The culture at PwC Singapore is collaborative and relatively inclusive. The firm has active networks and runs social events for interns including a leadership talk series and a CSR initiative.
Hours vary: Assurance has heavier periods around audit season; Deals and Consulting have project-driven crunch periods. Average weeks are eight to ten hours per day.
Return Offers & Full-Time Conversion
PwC Singapore converts approximately 50–65% of interns. Full-time offers lead into PwC's Graduate Programme, which provides structured professional qualifications support (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) and a clear progression to Senior Associate within two to three years. Interns who join the Graduate Programme through the intern pathway are considered accelerated track candidates.
