Job Summary We are seeking a Contract Accountant to support month-end and year-end closing activities, with a primary focus on General Ledger and Accounts Receivable. This role will partner closely with the finance team to prepare journal entries, maintain balance sheet schedules, ensure accurate transaction recording, complete timely account reconciliations and assist with financial data clean-up. Responsibilities • Manage daily General Ledger and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure accurate financial records • Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end close processes within deadlines • Complete, document, and verify account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial statements • Perform intercompany reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions • Assist with tax computations and prepare statutory filings including corporate tax and GST submissions • Support external audit processes by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries • Coordinate with financial institutions for applications, documentation, and financing matters to facilitate smooth transactions • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial reporting standards to uphold regulatory requirements • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements to increase operational efficiency • Execute ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned to support the finance team’s objectives Required competencies and certifications • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field • Minimum 2 years’ experience in full-set accounting focusing on General Ledger and Accounts Receivable • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365/Business Central Preferred competencies and qualifications • Experience with Plato clinic system • Strong organizational skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies proactively • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Other Information Contract Terms & Additional Information • Contract duration: 1 year, with potential for extension or conversion based on business needs • Immediate availability preferred; candidates with a short notice period will also be considered
