Application Consultant

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Mid-Level Application Consultant to lead end-to-end software implementations. Unlike a junior role, you will be expected to own the relationship with departmental heads, navigate complex data migrations independently, and provide strategic "best practice" advice rather than just following a checklist. Core Responsibilities• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the discovery, design, and deployment phases of software implementation projects for mid-market to enterprise clients. • Requirement Translation: Convert "high-level" business pain points into detailed functional requirement documents (FRDs) and technical specifications. • System Architecture: Configure complex business logic, validation rules, and automated workflows within the application environment. • Data Integrity: Lead data mapping exercises and oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of legacy data into the new system. • Stakeholder Diplomacy: Act as the "Expert in the Room," managing expectations when client requests conflict with system limitations or project budgets. • Mentorship: Provide guidance to Junior Consultants and Analysts on project best practices and technical troubleshooting. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation • Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (Preferred majors: Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or Finance). Experience • Mid-Level Track Record: 3 to 6 years of experience in software consulting, professional services, or as a high-level internal Systems Administrator. • Proven Implementation: Must have successfully led at least 2–3 full-lifecycle software deployments from kickoff to "Go-Live." Technical Skills • Platform Expertise: Advanced configuration skills in [Insert Platform, e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Odoo, or MS Dynamics]. • Querying & Reporting: Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and experience building advanced BI dashboards. • Integration: Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and how the application interacts with the broader tech stack.
