Core Responsibilities• Payment Processing: Assist in processing and managing financial payment transactions efficiently and within required timelines. • Verification & Compliance: Validate and verify invoices and supporting documentation against internal guidelines, reconciling any data discrepancies. • Documentation & Tracking: Maintain highly accurate standards in data entry using internal tracking spreadsheets. Ensure precise filing and documentation of all payment transactions, approvals, and authorizations. • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the point of contact to handle payment-related inquiries from vendors and internal ministry stakeholders. • Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake administrative duties and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Executive Office. Job RequirementsKey Qualifications & Eligibility• Educational Background: • A Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, or Business; OR • A Diploma in another field paired with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in finance or a related domain. • Experience Recency: Must demonstrate active, recent, hands-on experience in Accounts Payable functions. Relevant experience and skills will only be considered if they are reflected in your current role or your last two most recent roles held after 2020. Technical & Operational Skills• Advanced Excel Proficiency: Proven experience working with complex spreadsheets, including the active use of functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditional formatting. • Digital Literacy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Candidates must be adaptable, willing to learn new processes, and open to leveraging digital solutions or AI tools to drive workflow efficiency. Soft Skills & Attributes• Good numerical skills with a high degree of attention to detail. • Strong organizational and time management capabilities. • Effective communication skills to liaise professionally with internal officers and external vendors. Employment Terms & Working Hours• Contract Duration: 1 Year Firm Period (1 Aug 2026 to 31 July 2027), with an option to extend for 1 additional year (1 Aug 2027 to 31 July 2028). • Work Location: 100% on-site at 51 Grange Rd, Singapore 249564. Note: There is no Work From Home (WFH) arrangement for this role. • Working Hours: • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break). • Fridays: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break). • Rest Days: No work is required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted Singapore Public Holidays.
