About this role
Duties & Responsibilities• Lead the engineering design and preparation of technical documents, including specifications, data sheets, and enquiry documents for rotating equipment (e.g. pumps, compressors) and packaged equipment. • Coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems. • Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications. • Review vendor drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable international codes and standards. • Ensure adherence to client specifications, relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, NFPA). • Participate in site surveys, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and commissioning activities. • Provide on-site technical support during commissioning, including troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues. • Manage technical interfaces and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve engineering issues • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers • Support tendering activities, including material take-off (MTO) and cost estimation support. • Undertake overseas or site assignments as required Qualification & Experience Generally Required• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. • 8-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with strong focus on rotating and packaged equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical or offshore facilities. • Proven experience in a lead or senior engineering role on major projects. • Strong experience across EPC phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. • In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, NFPA). • Strong experience with equipment sizing, selection, and vendor management. • Excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
