About this role
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, operate, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platforms that support application workloads, enterprise integrations, and cloud migration initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with application, architecture, DevOps, DevSecOps, and security teams to ensure Azure solutions follow best practices for performance, governance, compliance, automation, and operational reliability. Key Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure based on best practices and reference architectures. • Build and support Azure services including Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, and Azure Storage. • Support multi-environment deployments across Dev, UAT, and Production. • Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform. • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or Bash. • Ensure infrastructure changes are version-controlled, auditable, and aligned with change management processes. • Operate and maintain Azure workloads to meet availability, performance, and reliability requirements. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. • Perform root cause analysis and support incident, problem, and change management activities. • Implement secure Azure architectures based on Zero Trust principles. • Configure and manage Azure Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, and Azure Key Vault. • Enforce cloud governance using Azure Policy, Management Groups, tagging standards, and secure landing zones. • Support security reviews, audits, compliance checks, and remediation activities. • Monitor and optimize Azure consumption using Azure Cost Management, budgets, tagging, and usage forecasting. • Recommend cost-efficient cloud configurations and architecture improvements. • Contribute to cloud standards, reusable patterns, documentation, and operational runbooks. • Support cloud adoption, migration, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills and Experience: • Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with strong exposure to cloud and infrastructure engineering. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring services. • Strong understanding of Azure architecture, cloud networking, security, governance, and operational best practices. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent tools. • Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or Bash. • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and cloud troubleshooting. • Good understanding of high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and resiliency concepts. • Experience supporting enterprise or regulated environments is preferred. • Microsoft certification such as AZ-104 Azure Administrator or AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert is preferred.
