Cambridge IGCSE "O" Level Teacher

Role Summary We seek a qualified educator to deliver the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus to students in Grades 9–10 (and potentially Cambridge Lower Secondary for Grades 7–8). The teacher will prepare students for Cambridge international examinations with a focus on content mastery, application, and examination techniques. This role is based in Singapore and involves teaching a diverse student population. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE / O Level syllabuses for your subject  • Prepare students for international examinations, including Cambridge Checkpoints and IGCSE O Level  • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and teaching materials • Employ differentiated instruction to accommodate students of varying aptitudes (Core vs. Extended papers) Assessment & Progress Monitoring • Monitor and track students' progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents  • Prepare and mark examination papers and assignments • Use data to identify learning gaps and adjust instruction accordingly Classroom & Pastoral Care • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' learning  • Provide necessary supervision, manage the classroom, and address discipline issues • Serve as a mentor or form teacher as needed  Professional Collaboration • Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning, and school events  • Stay updated with Cambridge curriculum changes and best teaching practices • Attend training conducted by Cambridge International  • Collaborate with the team in curriculum development and appraisal systems
