About this role
JobResponsibilities • Manage, administer, and maintain Linux server environments including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu across on-premise and cloud infrastructure. • Support cloud infrastructure operations on AWS including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53, Auto Scaling, and Load Balancers. • Perform installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Linux servers and cloud systems. • Manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, virtual machines, snapshots, cloning, and infrastructure monitoring activities. • Handle server backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and system health checks to ensure high availability. • Administer storage and file systems including LVM, NFS, Samba, SAN storage, and VMware storage integrations. • Configure and manage monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Nagios, and CloudWatch alerts. • Support database administration activities for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Redis, and MongoDB in Linux environments. • Implement automation and scripting using Shell scripting and Ansible to streamline operational tasks. • Troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, network, virtualization, and cloud-related incidents within SLA timelines. • Ensure compliance with security policies, user access management, firewall configurations, and system hardening standards. • Support cloud migration, infrastructure optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux System Administration and Cloud Infrastructure support. • Strong hands-on experience with Linux platforms (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). • Experience in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch, and Auto Scaling. • Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, HA, VM provisioning, and virtualization technologies. • Knowledge of storage technologies, SAN environments, backup and recovery processes. • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and Shell scripting. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, or CloudWatch. • Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, firewall configurations, and system security. • Experience supporting databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB is advantageous. • AWS certifications or Linux certifications will be an added advantage. • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. PreferredSkills • Experience with AIX administration and IBM Power Systems. • Exposure to cloud migration and hybrid cloud environments. • Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
