Cloud Operations Engineer (Bank)

The Opportunity • This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the leading banks • 12months contract • It is an opportunity for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the team. The Job The Cloud Operations Engineer (GCP) will support the Data Platform Lead within the COO Data Hub in operating and continuously improving the bank’s cloud platforms. The role also serves as the process owner for cloud and application onboarding, coordinating third-party risk management (TPRM) and vendor onboarding activities. This role does not carry formal sign-off authority, but is accountable for driving end-to-end process execution, ensuring onboarding readiness, and providing recommendations to relevant governance forums. Primary Mission To ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments while owning and continuously improving the end-to-end processes for cloud and application onboarding, vendor onboarding, and third-party risk management integration. Core activities Cloud Operations and Reliability • Operate and monitor GCP environments including IAM, networking, logging, monitoring, backup and DR readiness • Manage incidents and problems, including root cause analysis and preventative remediation • Maintain operational runbooks, monitoring standards, and service support models Cloud & Application Onboarding (Process Ownership) • Own onboarding processes for new GCP projects and applications • Define onboarding standards covering security, resilience, and operational readiness • Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines Third-Party Risk Management & Vendor Onboarding Coordination • Coordinate technical security inputs for vendor risk assessments • Track remediation of identified risk findings • Maintain vendor and service inventories and reassessment schedules Soft skills and competencies • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cloud operations, platform engineering, or end user computing support roles • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); multi-cloud exposure is an advantage • Solid understanding of IAM, network security, logging, monitoring, and resilience controls • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and CI/CD automation • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Comfortable operating in regulated environments with audit and risk requirementsHas excellent verbal and written communication skills, is comfortable building and presenting reports and use cases as well as translating analysis and conclusions into actionable recommendations • Works well with functions and businesses (IT, Ops, business etc) • Is proficient in managing projects, milestones and dependencies • Strategic planning, roadmap creation and execution through project management skills • Problem Solving through proper structuring, framework and application of data driven approach • Autonomy, intellectual curiosity, and taste for innovation Next Steps • Drop your resume and contact us to follow-up, or send your resume to amos.tan@adecco.com • Email Topic: Apply Cloud Operations Engineer • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted Amos Tan Jun Han EA Licence Number: 91C2918 Personnel Registration Number: R23113385
