Job Purpose The position holder will support the brand and communications for the Asia Pacific, supporting APAC Comms Director in the execution and delivery of regional and country communications plans to promote the company as a leading partner in technology and sustainability, protecting and enhancing the company’s branding Support external communications activities: • Support the development and implementation of reputation-building plans, via traditional and social media channels, aimed at achieving desired positioning per the committed KPIs, ensuring comprehensive awareness and understanding of reputational related opportunities and threats • Coordinate as appropriate with the external agencies and other internal functions across the Communications and Commercial teams to ensure alignment, integrated messaging & execution of communications initiatives • Content development for both traditional and social media engaging key audiences and stakeholders to competitively position the company • Coordination of media and external speaking engagements and the creation of differentiated messaging & proof points, preparation of appropriate briefing and messaging documents as needed • Create, write, and edit op-eds, speeches, presentations, video materials, talking points & other communications materials as needed • Coordinate and manage participation of in-person and virtual external events, either owned, or with external partners, including stakeholder and audience participation Support internal / culture communications: • Coordinate and manage virtual and in-person internal events/ townhalls to engage employees across sites in APAC • Consult with relevant functions in global and international markets’ communications teams to ensure messaging & communications tools & materials are aligned • Create, write, and edit leadership communications including messaging, directing webinars/ webcasts, video production and so on as needed Qualifications/requirements: • Must have excellent level of spoken and written English including copywriting and editing • Six to eight years of experience in either corporate communications or agency experience with a focus across communications disciplines – external, social media, internal / culture. Experience in the aviation industry and within a complex global business is an advantage • Undergraduate degree in Public Relations, Communications or relevant subject • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with traditional & non-traditional media, & ability to drive a consistent message through diverse channels. Having existing relationship with key media in Singapore is an advantage. • Ability to understand & communicate complex business, technical, legal, regulatory and issues • Demonstrated facilitating media interviews and media engagement • Creative, thoughtful, persuasive storyteller Desired characteristics: • Builds excellent working relationships within a matrix environment • Cultivates, builds and mobilizes networks of advocates/ allies both internal and external • Prioritizes multiple tasks, and lays out clear, logical and implementable plans linked to business outcomes and agreed deadlines • Works effectively independently • Copes effectively with pressure, multiple/ shifting deadlines and pivots as required in an often uncertain and ambiguous environment • Deals effectively with people and works with professional sensitivity in diverse, multicultural and multinational teams both in virtual and in-person and across time zones • Ability to take a stand, push back, appropriately argue for company position and disagree without being disagreeable • Analytical mind with excellent attention to detail • Must be willing, able and flexible to travel within the Asia Pacific when necessary.
