About this role
• Assess the creditworthiness of APAC counterparties through detailed financial analysis and internal rating assignments, presenting credit files and limit requests to the Credit Risk Committee. • Monitor credit exposures, limits, and risk indicators across a live portfolio of counterparties, responding to Front Office queries on trade exposures and limit availability. • Negotiate credit, collateral, and payment terms in trading agreements — including ISDAs and physical master agreements — in collaboration with Legal and Front Office. • Track credit events and market developments affecting the counterparty portfolio, and escalate material risks appropriately. • Develop credit risk frameworks for new products and markets, and support cross-functional projects across commercial and risk functions. • Analyse major transactions and present materials to senior risk and group-level committees, interfacing with risk methodology teams. Requirements • Understanding of energy commodities markets, products, and counterparties • Prior experience in credit analysis tools (S&P Capital IQ, Moodys, Reuters or Bloomberg) • At least 7 years of credit risk experience in a commodities trading house or financial institution, with coverage of both physical and paper instruments
