Devops Engineer - Contract

Job Summary We are seeking highly motivated DevOps professionals to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in creating innovative digital and physical solutions that enhance public service delivery and societal well-being. Responsibilities • Manage the development and maintenance of internal engineering productivity tools and environments to improve operational efficiency • Design and implement DevOps architecture and provide ongoing operational support to ensure platform stability • Plan and architect cloud deployments across private and public cloud environments to meet scalability and resilience goals • Develop and operate continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes • Implement monitoring automation to detect, predict, and prevent issues within environments and codebases proactively • Manage processes, automation workflows, best practices, and documentation to standardize engineering operations • Conduct research into software issues and evaluate products to support problem resolution and innovation • Apply hands-on coding skills and mentor team members, often through pair programming, to enhance technical capabilities • Collaborate effectively within highly cross-functional teams to build and maintain high-quality technical environments • Prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure global work environment • Utilize knowledge of diverse open source technologies and configurations to support platform development and troubleshooting Required competencies and certifications • Strong knowledge and experience in DevOps automation, containerization, and orchestration using Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Docker • Proficient scripting skills in Python, Bash, and JavaScript for automation and tooling development • Experience in cloud computing deployment and management, specifically AWS • Understanding and practice of Agile project methodologies • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols Preferred competencies and qualifications • Experience working with highly scalable distributed systems • Broad technical knowledge across operating systems, networking, distributed computing, and cloud computing
