About this role
Studio Mojo is a Singapore-based spatial design consultancy specializing in commercial interior design, gallery exhibitions, and interactive digital content for corporate and institutional clients. Our Art Director is on maternity leave until June. She normally handles physical spatial graphics (backwalls, history walls, environmental graphics for fabrication) and art direction. We also have gaps in digital content production. We need one person who can cover BOTH areas during her absence. This is temporary maternity leave coverage requiring strong execution across digital AND physical/print production. You'll work on low-value but high-importance projects that maintain client relationships during this transition period. This is hands-on execution, not strategy. We need someone who can produce fabrication-ready graphics AND digital content efficiently within existing brand systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design physical spatial graphics: backwalls, history walls, environmental graphics for exhibition/gallery projects • Prepare fabrication-ready files with proper specifications for printing and installation • Create digital content: storyboards, video content, interactive elements • Produce proposal visuals using existing brand templates • Execute digital production: Webflow updates, Figma mockups, microsites • Coordinate external contractors (fabricators, printers, video producers, programmers) • Maintain project documentation in Monday.com and Google Drive • Support tender preparation with both physical and digital visual materials • Follow established brand guidelines and templates • Respond promptly to client and internal requests REQUIREMENTS: Essential Skills: • Graphic design and production for physical environmental graphics (backwalls, history walls, signage, wayfinding) • Understanding of fabrication processes and print-ready file preparation (bleed, resolution, color modes, file formats) • Digital content production: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) • Basic web design capability (Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, or similar platforms) • Storyboarding experience (exhibition, video, or interactive content) • Experience coordinating with fabricators, printers, and digital contractors • Ability to follow existing brand templates and guidelines • Experience with project management tools (Monday.com or equivalent) • Strong organizational and documentation skills Work Style: • Can execute both physical/print AND digital content (dual capability required) • Works within established systems without reinventing processes • Highly responsive to client and team communication • Comfortable working under direct supervision and daily reporting • Available to start within 2 weeks • Professional and reliable with minimal supervision needed Advantageous (Not Required): • Exhibition or gallery industry exposure • Experience with large-format printing and installation graphics • Data visualization or infographic work • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (Claude, ChatGPT) Portfolio Requirements: Applicants must submit: 1. 2-3 examples of physical spatial graphics (backwalls, history walls, environmental graphics) with fabrication specs 2. 2-3 digital projects (storyboards, websites, Figma prototypes, or interactive content) 3. One example of work executed from a client brief (demonstrating ability to follow direction) WHAT WE OFFER: • Contract rate: SGD 4,200 - 4,800/month (based on experience) • Flexible remote work arrangement: Work from home with office presence when needed for meetings, contractor coordination, and fabrication handovers • Immediate start opportunity • Exposure to corporate and institutional projects • Clear scope and direct reporting structure • Potential for contract extension based on performance and project pipeline EMPLOYMENT TERMS: • Contract duration: 3-6 months • Working arrangement: Flexible remote - work from home with office presence when needed for contractor meetings, fabrication handovers, client briefings, and urgent coordination. Expect 1-3 office days per week depending on project requirements. • Reporting to: Managing Director • Notice period: 1 week during contract period • Extension possibility: Subject to business needs and performance (no guarantee) APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Please submit: • Updated CV/resume • Portfolio with required pieces (see Portfolio Requirements) • Available start date (must be within 2 weeks) • Expected monthly rate Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. --- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This contract covers maternity leave for our Art Director who handles both physical spatial graphics (environmental design for fabrication) and art direction. We need someone who can execute BOTH physical/print production AND digital content - not just one or the other. This is a broader skill requirement than typical digital-only roles. You'll produce fabrication-ready graphics for physical installations while also handling digital storyboards, web content, and interactive elements. The successful candidate must demonstrate dual capability in their portfolio. Candidates with only digital experience or only print/graphic design experience (but not both) should not apply. This is temporary coverage for a specific period - we need someone who can integrate quickly, execute efficiently across both physical and digital domains, and maintain quality standards without requiring extensive creative direction.
