Position Overview (6 Months Contract): We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Drafter to support railway construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and updating CAD drawings in accordance with project requirements, established CAD standards, and submission guidelines. This role requires strong technical drafting skills, proficiency in MicroStation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment. Tasks & Responsibilities: • Design, prepare, and update CAD drawings in accordance with established CAD standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements. • Review and integrate design details from the Coordinated Combined Services Model (CCSM) into Combined Service Design (CSD) drawings to ensure proper coordination and project consistency. • Prepare, amend, and finalise technical drawings and related documents for internal review and official project submissions. • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure drawings are aligned with site requirements, project specifications, and coordination needs. • Use MicroStation software proficiently to create, modify, and manage computer-aided drawings for railway project requirements. • Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission. • Maintain proper documentation, drawing records, and revisions in accordance with project control procedures. • Manage assigned drafting tasks independently and efficiently to meet tight project deadlines. Qualifications & Experience: • Diploma or Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering Design, Integrated Mechanical & Electrical Design, Civil Engineering, Building Services, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Built Environment, Drafting, or a related discipline. • Relevant experience as a Drafter, preferably in railway, infrastructure, construction, or M&E projects. • Proficient in MicroStation; knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software will be an added advantage. • Familiarity with CCSM and CSD drawings will be advantageous. • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and coordination models. • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with attention to detail. • Ability to manage interface coordination and resolve sequencing issues in a fast-paced environment.
