Job TitleElectrical Commissioning Specialist (Gas Turbine Power Project) LocationJurong Island, Singapore Employment TypeContract (6 months, starting June, potentially extendable) Job DescriptionThe Electrical Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for supporting the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of electrical systems for a gas turbine power project. The role involves ensuring systems are tested, verified, and ready for safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities• Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical systems • Conduct testing and verification of generators, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems • Perform wiring checks, functional testing, and relay testing • Support energization and synchronization of gas turbine units • Troubleshoot electrical faults and resolve on-site technical issues • Review technical drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and operational procedures • Coordinate with engineering teams, construction personnel, vendors, and clients • Support project milestones and assist in plant handover to operations Requirements• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline • Proven experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in power generation or gas turbine projects • Strong knowledge of power systems, including generators, transformers, and protection schemes • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics • Experience with testing equipment and commissioning procedures • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a site-based environment • Familiarity with safety standards and industry best practices
