About this role
The Interface Coordinator is responsible for the structured management of all project interfaces across the project lifecycle, from proposal and engineering through construction, integration, commissioning, and offshore start‑up. The role ensures seamless coordination between multi‑disciplinary engineering teams, vendors, shipyards, offshore teams, and the COMPANY, proactively identifying and resolving interface risks to support COMPANY’s safe, high‑quality, and on‑time delivery commitments. Key ResponsibilitiesInterface Management Framework • Establish, implement, and maintain the Interface Management Plan (IMP) in accordance with COMPANY project procedures. • Identify, define, and manage internal and external interfaces, including engineering, vendor, yard, module, marine, and client interfaces. • Develop and maintain the Interface Register, ensuring clear ownership, responsibilities, and timely action closure. Engineering Interfaces • Coordinate interfaces between topsides, hull, marine, utility, mooring, riser, and subsea tie‑ins (as applicable). • Ensure alignment between engineering disciplines and packaged systems supplied by vendors. • Support resolution of design boundary issues, scope overlaps, interface gaps, and technical conflicts. Procurement & Vendor Interfaces • Coordinate engineering‑procurement interfaces during RFQ, bid clarification, vendor selection, and execution phases. • Manage interface data flow and document alignment between COMPANY engineering teams and equipment/package suppliers. • Support interface‑related technical clarifications and vendor coordination meetings. Yard, Construction & Integration Interfaces • Coordinate interfaces during yard construction, module fabrication, transportation, integration, hook‑up, and commissioning. • Actively manage interface issues during block/module integration and ensure alignment between yard execution and engineering intent. • Support interface readiness and close‑out during offshore campaigns. Client & Stakeholder Coordination • Serve as an interface focal point between COMPANY and the Client/operator on interface‑related matters. • Support interface workshops, technical reviews, and interface risk assessments with Client participation. • Ensure interface deliverables meet contractual, technical, and schedule requirements. Planning Risk & Reporting • Identify interface‑related risks and support mitigation actions aligned with project risk registers. • Ensure interface milestones are integrated into overall project schedules. • Prepare interface reports, dashboards, and status updates for project management. Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Process, Structural, or related discipline) • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas projects • Proven experience on FPSO / FLNG / Offshore production facilities, within EPCI execution on at least 3 projects • Demonstrated interface coordination experience across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases • Experience working with international shipyards, vendors, and offshore execution teams • Strong understanding of FPSO systems, execution philosophy, and delivery challenges • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, scope documents, and contractual interfaces • Experience using interface registers and project control tools • Previous experience working for major FPSO EPCI contractors on at least 3 FPSO projects • Exposure to proposal engineering and firm‑price project development • Offshore or yard execution experience is an advantage
