About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in the design, coordination, and technical documentation of railway and infrastructure projects in Singapore. This internship is suitable for students or fresh graduates in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related disciplines who are keen to gain hands on experience in metro, railway, power supply, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to support technical coordination, documentation, drawing review, and day to day engineering activities. The position offers valuable exposure to major rail and infrastructure projects and provides practical experience in engineering design, project coordination, and technical support within a multidisciplinary project environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Engineering Support • Assist engineers in the preparation, review, and coordination of technical documents, drawings, and engineering submissions. • Support engineering activities related to electrical and power systems, including design documentation, calculations, reports, and technical records. • Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure proper coordination and accuracy. • Provide support in day to day engineering tasks as assigned by the project or design team. 2. Documentation & Submissions • Assist in preparing and organising technical submissions, engineering reports, material submissions, and supporting documents. • Maintain proper records and filing of drawings, correspondence, comments, and engineering documentation. • Support document tracking, revision control, and follow up of submission status. • Ensure documents are updated, traceable, and properly maintained for internal and external coordination. • 3. Coordination & Project Support • Work closely with engineers, project teams, and other departments to support technical coordination and follow up matters. • Assist in coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on engineering related documentation and information. • Attend meetings where required and assist in preparing meeting notes, action lists, and follow up records. • Support ad hoc project coordination and administrative tasks related to engineering activities. 4. Site, Testing & Learning Exposure • Support site related engineering matters, inspections, or technical follow up where required. • Assist in testing and commissioning related preparation, documentation, and coordination activities where applicable. • Learn about practical project delivery processes involving design, construction, installation, testing, and handover. • Gain exposure to railway, metro, electrical, and infrastructure engineering environments. Requirements • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline. • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. • Strong interest in electrical engineering, power systems, railway systems, or infrastructure projects. • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and technical drawings. • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support different engineering tasks in a fast paced environment. • Good organisational, communication, and follow up skills. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word. • AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage. • Good command of English, both written and spoken. Ability to communicate in Chinese will be an advantage for coordination with Chinese speaking stakeholders. Preferred Experience • Internship exposure in engineering, construction, infrastructure, M&E, or project environments will be an advantage. • Familiarity with technical documentation, drawing review, or engineering coordination will be beneficial. • Interest in railway, metro, MRT, power supply, substations, or related electrical systems will be preferred.
