ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Events and Outreach, Community Partnership and Development Assistant Manager / Manager to support the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of SDSC’s community sports programmes. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with community coaches, volunteers, participants and external partners to enhance programme reach and impact. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Events and Outreach, Community Partnership and Development Assistant Manager /Manager supports the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of SDSC’scommunity sports programmes. Key responsibilities include volunteer recruitment and management, stakeholder engagement, programme coordination, data management and outcome reporting. Working closely with the Events Team, this role ensures that all events are delivered smoothly, professionally, and within budget, while maintaining a high standard of attendee experience and align with the organisation’s objectives. Outreach • Partnerships - Forge strong partnerships with community coaches, volunteers, external partners, and internal teams to ensure the success of SDSC’s Community Sports Programmes,including Parasport360, SwimTogether and Kids League. • Community Building - Develop an engaged sporting community by creating meaningful and enjoyable experiences for participants, volunteers and partners while delivering community sports programmes. • Data Management - Support the maintenance of comprehensive programme records, leveraging this data to continuously enhance the impact of our community initiatives. • Programme Support - Support Events and Outreach Community Outreach team in Program Implementation as and when required Volunteer Management • Recruitment and Cultivation: Identify, recruit, nurture, and match volunteers to suitable roles, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose among volunteers. • Database Management: Maintain accurate records and databases pertaining to volunteer profiles, availability, and contributions to facilitate effective volunteer management. • Recognition and Appreciation: Organize informal recognition initiatives and appreciation events to motivate volunteers. Assist in implementing and formal reward programs, and appreciation events to express gratitude and motivate volunteers for their support. Other Responsibilities • Reporting and Documentation: Track outcome and feedback for programs and volunteers, aiding in transparent communication and data-driven decision making • Cross-Functional Support: Offer support to various internal teams as needed.
