About this role
What you'll do: As an Exchange Traded Derivatives Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational backbone of the organisation’s derivatives business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with colleagues across multiple regions to ensure seamless processing of trading activity over 60+ exchanges. You will be entrusted with managing essential reporting functions, coordinating audits, overseeing regulatory compliance tasks, and driving process improvements that enhance risk controls. Your ability to connect with diverse stakeholders will be key as you facilitate strategic deliverables regionally and globally. By participating in working groups and leading initiatives such as BCP exercises or new product reviews, you will contribute directly to the organisation’s commitment to operational excellence. Success in this role requires attention to detail, reliability under pressure, enthusiasm for collaborative problem-solving, and a genuine interest in continuous learning within the ever-evolving landscape of exchange traded derivatives. • Manage and prepare various Management Information System (MIS) reports to ensure accurate and timely delivery of critical data for decision-making processes. • Coordinate operational event reporting by liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain transparency and compliance. • Oversee bank account opening, maintenance, and certification activities while ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards. • Provide centralised support for static updates and change requests across APAC markets, maintaining consistency and accuracy in all records. • Perform periodic approval limits and signatory list reviews to uphold robust risk management practices within the department. • Coordinate and consolidate both external and internal audit or control reviews, ensuring all findings are addressed promptly and effectively. • Lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises and maintain up-to-date documentation for Singapore Exchange Traded Derivatives Operations. • Conduct quarterly access reviews and attestations for APAC ETD Operations owned shared drives and SharePoint sites to safeguard sensitive information. • Manage New Product Review (NPR) processes as well as Enterprise Regulatory Inventory Change (eRIC) due diligence for APAC ETD Operations. • Participate actively in working groups focused on delivering planned initiatives, acting as a catalyst for positive change within the team. What you bring: To excel as an Exchange Traded Derivatives Analyst, your background should include hands-on experience within derivatives operations—ideally covering clearing, reconciliation, regulatory compliance, or similar areas. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust-based relationships across teams while navigating complex organisational structures. A dependable approach means you can be counted on during high-pressure periods or tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or accuracy. Your openness to new ideas—combined with intellectual curiosity—will allow you to adapt quickly as market requirements evolve. Experience engaging with audits or regulatory reviews will serve you well here; so too will any exposure you have had to process improvement projects or strategic change initiatives. Above all else, your willingness to collaborate openly with others—sharing knowledge generously—will make you an invaluable member of this supportive team. • Demonstrated experience in Exchange Traded Derivatives operations with a strong risk and control mindset that ensures issue management is handled thoughtfully and thoroughly. • Proven track record of involvement in change initiatives with strategic deliverables that have positively impacted operational efficiency or compliance. • Background in process re-engineering or improvement projects where your input has led to measurable enhancements in workflow or controls. • Excellent communication skills enabling you to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels across the organisation as well as external partners. • Ability to understand complex processes quickly while establishing approaches that facilitate successful control review initiatives. • Intellectual curiosity combined with an understanding of what drives operational processes within financial services environments. • Good knowledge of Exchange Traded Derivatives products or prior experience working within the futures industry is highly desirable. • Experience connecting with diverse sets of stakeholders from different backgrounds or regions, fostering an inclusive approach to teamwork. • A reliable nature with the capacity to work independently when required but also seek guidance collaboratively when necessary. • Commitment to challenging existing practices constructively while promoting improvement through shared efforts.
