An opportunity is now available for a career-minded individual to join us in MSC South East Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd, as Executive, Claims. RESPONSIBILITIES We Offer You will embark on a short yet enriching journey within a global organization, gaining valuable exposure to maritime documentation and claims operations. As Executive, Claims, you will be responsible for supporting the handling of local claims and Unclaimed & Abandoned Cargo (UAC) matters, ensuring cases are managed accurately and in compliance with statutory, customer, and Principal requirements. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Documentation Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the handling of local claims and Unclaimed & Abandoned Cargo (UAC) matters, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate system updates, and proper coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders. The role also involves assisting with claims administration in accordance with statutory requirements and MSC guidelines. Your key responsibilities include: • Ensure proper and timely handling of claims and recoveries by coordinating amongst terminals, cargo interests, surveyors, experts and internal stakeholders • Perform regular follow-up with claimants and/or liable parties to ensure each claim is closed in a timely manner; • Management of UAC matters to ensure each claim is disposed promptly to ensure loss is minimal; • Implementation of risk improvement measures, where applicable; • Ensure claims system, Themis, is timely and accurately updated; • Appointment and arrangement for local survey upon MSC GVA instructions. QUALIFICATIONS Who We Are Looking For • Min Diploma / Degree qualified, preferably in the Maritime field; • Preferably with 1 year of relevant experience and knowledge in container and shipping operations. • Fresh graduates with a positive mindset will be considered. • Proficient in MS Office Applications • Customer Service oriented • People Management (Performance and Development) • Meticulous with an eye for details • Organized and Process oriented • Critical decision making • Self-motivated team player • Ability to Multitask and Prioritize • Ability to Work Independently • Excellent verbal and written communication skills OTHER INFORMATION Application Deadline If you are up for the challenge, you could be our new colleague!
