About this role
• Relevant experience with 5 to 10+ years covering financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax reporting and finance operations etc with an asset management/ funds sector • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivots, data analysis). Added consolidation experience is useful • Open to a 1-year contract that is renewable for good performers. Our client is a global assetmanagement firm backed by a blue chip and international asset management firmbased in town. It offers generous benefits (e.g. 24 days leave, attractive varbonus) and a 1 day per week WFH arrangement. This is a 1-year contract role and the person will beemployed under the asset mgt firm which offers good benefits. There is a chanceof renewal at the end of the contract for a good performer. For this role, youreport to the CFO. You play a hands-on role and perform the followingfunctions: Roles & Responsibilities: • Independently manage monthly book closing for several entities, including an overseas entity covering accounts receivable, accounts payable, staff claims and reimbursements. • Liaise independently with external auditors and tax consultants to support statutory audits and tax filings. • Prepare year-end financial statements and annual budgets for the assigned entities. • Perform group consolidation for a sub-group of entities. • Review, maintain and improve Group accounting policies and related documentation. • Participate in new projects (e.g. process improvements, system enhancements, new entity or product setup) as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline. • Relevant experience with around 5 to 10+ years in corporate accounting (covering financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax reporting and finance operations etc) gained within the financial services industry. Some relevant finance experience gained with an asset management/ funds/investment firm is required • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivots, data analysis). • Positive attitude, keen to learn and willing to take on new challenges. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple timelines & priorities. • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion and FCCS (or other consolidation systems) is preferred. • Consolidation knowledge with Funds industry background is an added advantage. • Hands-on (as this role will not manage staff) • Open to a 12 months contract role Plus pts: · The co is a very good MNC brand name that offer good perks including leave day entitlement of 18 days (per annum of employment) , medical benefits and insurance coverage · The co also offers good var bonus for performers · The co is based in town.
