Lead and deliver sustainable innovation initiatives that support strategic business objectives, advance sustainable development goals, and cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the organization. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Innovation Project Lead to join our APAC Innovation Hub in Singapore. This role involves leading and executing innovation projects focused on sustainable development, circular economy, and low-carbon solutions. The successful candidate will manage and deliver sustainable innovation initiatives that contribute to strategic goals, drive sustainable development, and foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the organization. Examples of Projects• Delivery of proof-of-concept circular economy loops • Development of services focused on energy efficiency • Creation of circular business models • Optimization and life extension of existing railway components Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Scoping• Proactively identify, frame, and prioritize strategic pain points and unmet needs across the organization. • Define and propose innovative, scalable solutions, including new concepts, business models, technologies, or partnerships aligned with sustainability and innovation objectives. • Build and maintain a pipeline of innovation opportunities, ensuring a continuous flow of ideas and initiatives. • Select innovation initiatives for development and establish clear project vision, objectives, success criteria, and executable roadmaps through validation, launch, and initial deployment. • Engage and align internal stakeholders, external partners, suppliers, startups, and research institutions as required. • Secure executive sponsorship and identify business owners to support transition and handover at the end of the innovation journey. Project Leadership & Management• Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and risks. • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners. • Report project progress, insights, and outcomes to leadership teams. • Ensure stakeholder alignment and engagement throughout the project lifecycle. • Drive timely achievement of key milestones, validating:Customer desirabilityTechnical feasibilityMarket accessibility Project Execution• Conduct market research, customer interviews, and partner identification activities. • Define subsequent innovation phases, including project scope, objectives, planning, budget, and key deliverables where appropriate. • Analyze relevant regulatory frameworks, including carbon finance, sustainability regulations, and waste management requirements. • Oversee laboratory testing, pilot programs, and MVP development. • Perform financial analysis and develop business cases and commercialization plans. Deliverables• Updated project dashboards covering planning, budget, risks, and deliverables. • Project-specific outputs, reports, and documentation. • Regular presentations and updates to internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Skills• Minimum 8 years of experience in innovation project management. • Background,Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. • Strong knowledge of innovation methodologies, frameworks, and project management practices. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills. • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and business acumen. • Previous experience as an intrapreneur, innovation champion, startup founder, or venture-building lead is highly valued.
