Job Summary This role is the main contact between Asian office with Group Finance in Paris. As the Group Reporting Accountant, you will work closely with the Asian team and Group Finance to collate and prepare reporting and analysis for Group Consolidation. The main focus will be to ensure accurate and timely month/quarter end reporting as well as continuing to improve the processes. Main Responsibilities Prepare reporting and analysis for Group Consolidation • Responsible for Group reporting related activities and the preparation of group reporting documents. • Prepare, input or approve accounting-related bookings in the accounting system. • Prepare, review and submit periodic reports on a timely basis and ensure compliance with requisite regulations. • Respond to the group on data issues, variances, etc. • Resolve any issues arising from group reporting in partnership with the relevant IT teams. • Prepare periodic statistical reports and surveys as necessary for various authorities. • Assess impact and implementation of new accounting policies and new products on all requisite reporting. • Setup necessary parameters in core banking system to meet group reporting requirements. Project related and Other ad-hoc tasks • Key contact person for all group initiated projects related to group reporting requirements. • Participate in period-end closing activities when assigned. • Get involved in new product testing and validation in core banking system. • Manage transaction testing for new and existing products during system upgrades. • Perform balance sheet non-regression validation for core banking system test campaign when assigned. • Participate in any Finance-related projects as and when required. Requirements • Degree or Masters in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and group reporting. • Knowledge in financial consolidation. • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to read and communicate in French is required for liaising with French-speaking stakeholders, and supporting financial reporting activities to Group Finance in Paris. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Able to work independently and manage deadlines for reporting purposes. • Good teamwork and collaboration skills. • Proactive and with continuous improvement mindset.
