About this role
The Communications & Marketing Intern supports the team in raising brand awareness and telling meaningful stories from Habitat for Humanity Singapore’s work, with an emphasis on improving housing systems across the globe. This role is ideal for a creative and curious individual who enjoys social media, content creation, and human-interest storytelling. You will gain hands-on experience in producing digital content, interviewing beneficiaries and volunteers, and shaping real stories into engaging narratives across social media and the website. This is a six-month internship position, preferably to start from Jul 2026. Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Social Media · Support the creation of engaging content for social media platforms(Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), including short-form videos, photos, graphics, and captions · Assist in filming and editing content such as interviews, event highlights, volunteer experiences, and campaign videos · Help manage and schedule posts according to a content calendar · Stay up to date with social media trends and suggest creative content ideas Storytelling & Journalism (Website & Features) · Assist in identifying and developing stories from beneficiaries, volunteers, and staff · Support the writing of website articles, blog posts, and human-interest features · Ensure stories are told with empathy, accuracy, and in line with safeguarding and consent guidelines Brand & Communications Support · Ensure content follows brand guidelines, tone, and messaging · Assist with simple design work (e.g. social media graphics, basic layouts) · Support website updates, EDMs, and basic communications materials · Provide support for campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives where needed Who We’re Looking For· Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, or a related field · Strong interest in social media content creation and storytelling · Basic skills in video editing (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro) and design tools (e.g. Canva) · Good writing skills with attention to detail · Comfortable speaking to people and learning how to conduct interviews · Proactive, willing to learn, and able to take initiative · Able to work both independently and collaboratively · Passionate about social impact and telling meaningful stories If you are interested to join us and be part of our exciting and meaningful ministry, please attach your complete CV, a writing sample, portfolio and links to any campaigns you may have worked.
