About the Singapore Red Cross Academy The Singapore Red Cross Academy is the training arm of the Singapore Red Cross, dedicated to building community resilience by equipping individuals and organisations with essential humanitarian knowledge and skills. We are the region's go-to institute for humanitarian studies, offering a comprehensive suite of courses in First Aid & Resuscitation, Psychosocial Support, and other humanitarian and caregiving programmes. We strive to empower individuals and communities to help save lives. Job Purpose Working with a large team of dynamic individuals in the training section and administrative section, the Learning & Development Intern under the Centre of First Aid & Resuscitation (CFAR) will assist with the execution of courses and events for the Centre’s range of learners in various industries ranging from workplace safety and health industries, education institutes and healthcare. The internship will gain a good understanding of the event planning and implementation of training courses in the first aid and life support industry with a fast-paced, dynamic working environment. Job Responsibilities • To ensure a successful project collaboration with agencies in organising Project Heart 2026 held in October. • To provide support in event planning with agencies in organising the Citizen Life Saving Summit - First Responder Championship held in November. • To provide support in event planning with agencies in organising the National Life Saving Day 2027 held in January. • Perform administrative duties such as consolidating training hours reports, data reporting of trainers’ evaluations and feedback by learners for improvement. • To attain instructor teaching certifications for future employment opportunities as a qualified first aid instructor. • Design and develop customisation of awareness slides for training. • Conduct training assignments as scheduled by CFAR Executive as part of Learning & Development (L&D). • Assist Senior Executive conduct of induction programmes to new trainers, explaining CFAR SOP and Trainers’ operations. • Provides continual engagement, support and welfare with appreciation to CFAR trainers. • Lead campus recruitment of potential candidates and share the works of Singapore Red Cross (if any). Job Specifications General Qualities and Qualifications • Applicants who completed their Year 2 or Year 3 of their diploma studies are preferred. • The students should be enthusiastic and responsible with a positive attitude towards a variety of work assignments. • Applicants ideally to be from sections of Learning & Development/Events Management/Healthcare/Business Admin/Human Resource or Biomedical Sciences. Additional skills and knowledge • Good command of both spoken and written English. • Excellent computer literacy; in the use of Words, Excel and PowerPoint. • Basic knowledge of the use of Canva for content media creation purposes. • As some of our customers are Mandarin-speaking, knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage. Others: • Working Hours - Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 6.00pm (1-hour lunch break) • Time-Offs: If scheduled to work on weekends, appropriate time-offs will be given to rest on weekdays. • Interns are encouraged to adjust their working schedule to support ad-hoc programmes or events, e.g. Community CPR+AED Training on an occasional weekend basis and should prioritise this internship over other commitments related to CCAs.
