IT Business Analyst (Contract)

Job Summary The IT Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business users and the technology team, responsible for understanding, analysing, and translating business needs into clear system and functional specifications. This role supports the end-to-end lifecycle of technology enhancements, from feasibility assessments to implementation and user adoption. The Business Analyst also ensures that proposed solutions are aligned with operational goals and user expectations while supporting business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is based in Tampines North. Key Responsibilities • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, workflows, and pain points. • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system interface documents, ensuring clarity and alignment with user needs. • Identify gaps in current systems and provide actionable recommendations for enhancements. • Support feasibility studies, risk-benefit analysis, and preparation of business cases or proposal documents for decision-making by project sponsors. • Analyze the capabilities of existing systems and assess their suitability for supporting proposed changes. • Prepare, review, and maintain technical and functional documentation (design specifications, process flows, interface definitions, user manuals, training materials, and post-implementation support documents), ensuring compliance with internal quality standards. • Develop project plans, assess dependencies and gaps, and track progress against key milestones and deliverables. • Assist in estimating resource and budgetary requirements based on project scope and complexity. • Develop test plans and test cases in coordination with project stakeholders. • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and integration testing, including logging defects, tracking resolutions, and documenting test results. • Coordinate and deliver training sessions and support user adoption of new systems, tools, and processes. • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring effective communication throughout the system implementation lifecycle. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business IT, and/or a related field. • Minimum 3 years of Business Analyst experience. • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Great knowledge and analysis skills in solution design.
