About the RoleWe are seeking an IT Infra Specialist – High Performance Computing (HPC) to support and enhance our client’s HPC infrastructure and related platforms on a 12‑month contract, renewable annually based on performance and business requirements. This role is ideal for a mid‑level specialist with strong hands‑on experience in infrastructure, systems and HPC environments who enjoys problem‑solving and working in a fast‑paced setting.mycareersfuture+2 Key Responsibilities• Manage, operate, and support HPC infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and related services, to ensure high availability and performance. • Perform system administration tasks such as provisioning, patching, upgrades, security hardening and performance tuning for HPC clusters and supporting systems. • Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner, escalating to vendors where required. • Support capacity planning, resource optimisation and utilisation reporting for HPC workloads. • Work closely with application, research and project teams to support deployment, integration and optimisation of HPC workloads. • Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures and configuration records. • Participate in infrastructure improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance reliability, security and automation. Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline. • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure/systems administration, with exposure to HPC, data centre, or large‑scale compute environments preferred. • Strong knowledge in Linux/UNIX system administration; familiarity with scripting (e.g. Bash, Python) will be an advantage. • Experience with servers, storage, networking and virtualisation technologies; exposure to job schedulers or cluster management tools is a plus. • Good problem‑solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
