Job Overview:We are looking for an experienced IT Partnership Manager to work closely with our Research Entities (REs) to understand their operational, tactical, and strategic IT needs. The successful candidate will manage IT initiatives, facilitate continuous communication, and ensure that REs receive the necessary support for IT solutions, policy compliance, and process improvements. The role will also involve project management of IT implementations to meet RE's business requirements and corporate directions. Key Responsibilities:IT Infrastructure: • Understand and set up IT solutions such as Virtual Machines, Data Storage systems, and SingAREN in line with corporate directions. • Manage and support IT systems, platforms, and data center operations to support corporate services. • Familiarize with IT Service Desk processes and monitor ticket statuses. • Ensure that REs comply with IT policies and standards like IM8, Company IT Policies, and End-user Acceptable Use Policies. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: • Act as the main point of contact for REs, building strong relationships and providing timely updates. • Translate complex IT policies and guidelines into simpler terms for researchers and management. • Continuously communicate with REs to provide updates and obtain feedback on IT security, policies, user experience, and IT needs. Process Improvement & Policy Compliance: • Plan and implement process improvements to engage REs on IT initiatives and compliance matters. • Collaborate with REs to manage IT budgets, compliance requirements, and ongoing IT needs. • Work closely with the ITSS functional team to ensure seamless delivery of IT services to REs. IT Technology Exploration: • Stay updated on emerging IT technologies and strategies by attending conferences, courses, and seminars. • Conduct Proof-of-Concept activities with IT vendors and internal teams to identify new capabilities and solutions for REs, supporting digitalization efforts and improving productivity. Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination: • Develop deep domain knowledge of REs and understand their priorities. • Collaborate with other divisions to align RE interests with organizational goals. • Support and share new IT initiatives and drive cybersecurity awareness among REs. • Manage complex stakeholder relationships, balancing strict compliance with the flexibility needed for user requirements. Key Requirements:Experience & Skills: • At least 2 years of experience in community engagement, program coordination, event planning, or related roles. • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including network setups, cloud solutions, and data systems. • Proficiency in IT policies, service desk processes, and ensuring compliance with IT standards. • Strong project management skills and ability to implement IT solutions based on business needs. • Experience working with IT vendors, Semi-Conductors conducting proof-of-concept activities, and supporting digitalization. Soft Skills: • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and explain complex IT issues. • High emotional intelligence (EQ) in managing relationships and collaborating with various stakeholders. • Adaptability and proactivity in engaging with various teams and addressing their IT needs. • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills with a focus on service orientation and managing crisis situations. Preferred Qualifications:• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. • Prior experience working with research entities or in the public sector. • Certification in IT project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
