Job Summary You will be supporting a well-established client in the public and financial sector in a dynamic role spanning finance, office management, digital transformation, and organisational change. You will be responsible for managing the department's asset portfolio and overseeing key financial operations, including budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, while ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. In addition, you will support change management and transformation initiatives aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals. Responsibilities • Maintain and update the department's asset register, ensuring accurate recording, classification, depreciation, and system updates in line with accounting standards and internal policies. • Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle activities from procurement to decommissioning, including registration, transfers, disposals, write-offs, and capitalisation at the appropriate stage. • Plan and execute asset verification exercises, stock-takes, reconciliations, and inspections across financial and non-financial trackable assets. • Implement and monitor asset control processes, including tagging, tracking, and operational reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, billing, and collections with proper approvals and documentation. • Support financial reporting activities, including month-end and year-end closing, accrual management, depreciation, and management reporting. • Prepare financial analysis and reporting for technology or business units to support decision-making. • Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, consolidating inputs from divisions and tracking capital and operating expenditure. • Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide management insights and reports. • Coordinate with internal/external auditors and Finance teams during audits and year-end closing, ensuring timely provision of documentation and compliance with regulations and internal controls. • Manage day-to-day office operations including office supplies, pantry, mail handling, and inventory control. • Oversee facilities and space management such as furniture, renovations, seating arrangements, and workspace optimisation. • Support organisational transformation initiatives by assessing impact on people, processes, and systems, and developing change management plans. • Drive digital transformation and automation across asset, finance, and office operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness. • Develop and deliver communications, training, and capability-building initiatives to support adoption of new systems and ways of working. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline • At least 5 years of relevant experience spanning finance and office administration functions • Strong background in asset management and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable is essential • Experience in financial data analysis and data visualisation; prior office management exposure is a strong advantage • Familiar with automation initiatives, business transformation, process re-engineering, and change management activities • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; comfortable using AI tools • Exposure to systems such as Workday and AMS is an advantage; familiarity with Canva is preferred • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment • Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on, and “can-do” attitude to succeed in the role If you are interested in this role and would like to discuss the opportunity further please click apply now or email Chew Kai-Xinn at kaixinnchew@morganmckinley.com for more information.
