Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant Engineer to ensure reliable operation of underwater equipment through hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, minimizing downtime and supporting system integration. Job Summary You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test underwater equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime. Responsibilities • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of defective parts on machinery and subsea equipment to ensure operational reliability • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment and system failures and improve operational efficiency • Conduct pre-deployment and post-recovery inspection, testing, and servicing of underwater equipment to ensure readiness and functionality • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults to restore equipment performance • Support integration, assembly, and configuration of subsea systems and equipment to facilitate deployment • Maintain and calibrate underwater instrumentation and navigation systems to ensure accurate operation • Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and technical reports to document work and support continuous improvement • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems to ensure proper setup and operation • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors when needed to facilitate maintenance and repairs Required competencies and certifications • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer or similar role • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and 3D blueprints to accurately perform maintenance tasks • Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment to effectively troubleshoot and repair faults • Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment Preferred competencies and qualifications • Diploma or technical certification in Engineering, Maintenance, or related field Other Information • The position is open to all qualified candidates
