About this role
Key Responsibilities Distributor Due Diligence & Onboarding Governance • Conduct end-to-end due diligence on insurance distributors (e.g., brokers, financial advisers, banks), including assessment, validation, and documentation. • Review submissions for completeness and quality; identify and escalate risks, gaps, and red flags. • Maintain audit-ready documentation, including checklists, approvals, and decision logs. • Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Financial Crime teams to obtain required reviews and approvals. Distribution Agreements – Execution Support • Support the contracting and execution of distribution agreements. • Manage agreement workflows, including document circulation, version control, and signatures. • Liaise with Legal and business stakeholders to ensure completion of agreements and supporting documents. • Maintain a contracting tracker, providing regular updates on status, owners, and timelines. Partner Governance Management • Plan and facilitate governance meetings with distribution partners (e.g., quarterly/biannual reviews). • Prepare governance materials covering performance, risk updates, incidents, and key decisions. • Document meeting minutes, track actions, and ensure timely follow-through to closure. • Maintain governance records including action logs and decision tracking. Reporting, Controls & Continuous Improvement • Deliver clear reporting on onboarding status, due diligence outcomes, and governance activities. • Enhance templates, trackers, and governance processes to improve efficiency and consistency. • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance frameworks. Requirement: • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Law, Risk/Compliance, or a related field. • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in insurance distribution, governance, onboarding, third-party risk, or compliance-related roles. • Excellent due diligence capability with attention to detail and structured assessment approach. • Proven stakeholder management experience across internal and external parties. • Familiarity with distributor contracting processes and Legal coordination. • Experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders or governance forums. • Understanding of regulatory requirements in insurance distribution.
