Phillips 66 Global Marine Operations provides safe, innovative marine transportation solutions in support of the Supply and Trading groups within Phillips 66 Commercial Organization. The Mgr, International Voyage Ops serves as the primary hands‑on leader for day‑to‑day marine activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of vessel operations. This role combines Operational Team Leadership with actively operating and participating in daily voyage operations, while coordinating tasks, assigning priorities, and supporting continuous improvement across marine activities. In addition to operating vessels & managing an International Operations team, the position is accountable for championing change, monitoring daily issues and working with the related parties and resources to maximize controlled equipment utilization, while ensuring safe voyage passages. What You’ll Do • Able to lead a team of Specialists, Voyage Ops while independently operating and managing an Operations desk. • Supervise a team of Specialist Voyage Coordinators and ensure the team performs their functions in a manner that is consistent and satisfactory to internal customers, while meeting the business needs of Marine. • Is responsible and proficient in all aspects of Marine voyage operations relative to all the functions, role & responsibilities of a Specialist, Voyage Operations. • Accountable for training, cross training and development of Specialists, Voyage Coordinators. • Working and building relationships with all internal and external customers to ensure effective optimization of controlled equipment to create incremental value and meet performance expectations. • Able to provide back-up support for all Voyage Operations roles. • Is proficient in using Marine Operating systems eg. IMOS and SEDNA. • Act as the primary operations point of contact (24/7) for assigned equipment. • Represent the company with vessel owners, carriers, terminal personnel, and/or other internal/external contacts in a professional manner. • Possess a firm understanding of marine risk and the company’s exposure to marine liability. • Help guide the development/improvement of operating systems requirements, operating metrics, and delivery/communication of results. • Assist Leadership team in championing change and assessing vessel hub agents for value add. What You’ll Bring –Required • Prior experience in Marine (oil tanker / barge) operations. • Strong understanding of marine transportation business, including marine logistics, dispatching, and general marine transportation processes. • Strong leadership, facilitation, planning, and organizational skills. • Ability to multi-task, relative to handling daily operations with Team leadership responsibilities and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines. • Ability to lead effectively through influence and capability to influence at all levels. • Ability to collaborate across functions, work effectively in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and contribute to a positive team culture. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with preference for action, accountability, and developing alternatives and solutions. • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems as required.
