Job Summary We are seeking a Middleware BMC Control-M Specialist responsible for managing and supporting global middleware platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of production systems. Provides incident resolution, automation, and continuous delivery improvements while working closely with development and business teams. Focuses on ControlM scheduling, IBM MQ, and file transfer solutions in a fast-paced banking environment. Mandatory Skill Set • Strong experience in BMC ControlM (job scheduling & workload automation); • Hands-on expertise in IBM MQ and Axway CFT / Secure Transport / Sentinel; • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and/or Windows operating systems; • Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl, or Java); • Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, problem, and Change Management); • Experience with monitoring tools (OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos); • Strong troubleshooting and production support skills for middleware platforms; • Ability to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems; • Experience working in a production support/operations environment. Desired Skill Set • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, automation frameworks); • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization; • Hands-on with Ansible for configuration management and automation; • Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Rundeck, and GIT; • BMC ControlM Certification (v9) is an added advantage; • Advanced/more in-depth experience with IBM MQ administration; • Exposure to the banking or financial services domain; • Experience in continuous delivery and automation initiatives; • Ability to develop self-service workflows and interfaces; • Strong focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. Responsibilities • Provide 24/7 production support for middleware platforms (Control-M, IBM MQ, Axway CFT); • Ensure high availability, reliability, and stability of global services; • Handle incident, problem, service request, and change management activities; • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution; • Collaborate with development, project, and business teams on requirements and deployments; • Support and manage job scheduling and workload automation using ControlM; • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives; • Monitor system performance and conduct performance tuning and optimization; • Develop and maintain scripts and self-service workflows; • Participate in strategic projects and middleware platform enhancements; • Ensure compliance with operational standards and ITIL processes; • Work in shift rotations and on-call support for production environments.
