About this role
Fujitsu is seeking a dedicated and experienced Network Engineer to join our onsite network team. You will be an integral part of a team responsible for managing our customer Enterprise Networking Environment, which supports a large campus with diverse network equipment and services. You will work closely with the customer network team, vendors, and the Helpdesk team to ensure seamless network operations. Responsibilities: • Manage, administer, configure, and provide technical support for network equipment (switches, wireless APs, firewalls, DNS appliances, UPS) and services, including VLANs, ACLs, firewall rules, DNS, and IP address management. • Install, maintain, and upgrade network hardware firmware/software; apply patches, hotfixes, and manage vulnerability remediation. • Take ownership of network problems, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and firmware, performing on-site support as needed. • Conduct daily system checks, monitor network services availability, and contribute to network health checks by analyzing alerts, statistics, and performance data. • Manage and document all network device configurations, changes, and ensure weekly automated backups. • Record network service outages and follow up on outstanding technical issues with vendors to ensure resolution within Service Level Agreement (SLA). • Liaise effectively with ISPs, other service providers, and internal teams on operational matters. • Assist and work with vendors with cabling management, including patching, documentation, 1st level troubleshooting of connections, and ensuring correct configuration/labeling of new outlets. • Provide support for wireless configuration and surveys. • Maintain comprehensive network documentation (diagrams, topologies, issues) and assist in proactive monitoring and monthly reporting for network resources. • Conduct annual asset verification, track equipment movements (deployment, RMA, relocation, decommissioning), and update inventory records. • Participate in network implementation and migration projects as required. • Assist in supporting operational requirements such as power maintenance shutdowns, periodic system audits, and service validation. • Adhere strictly to policies, rules, regulations, and IT security policies in all operational aspects. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 3+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer supporting large campus network • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership • Possesses a valid CCNA certification • Certification in PCNSA/PCNSP is a plus
