Part time ACLP Trainer (Journalism / Copywriting)

Job Summary We seek an adjunct trainer with journalism and writing expertise to deliver workshops that enhance skills in copywriting, feature writing, storytelling, interviewing, and content writing. Responsibilities • Design and deliver engaging workshops on news and feature writing to develop learners’ journalistic skills • Teach interviewing and research techniques to enable accurate and insightful content creation • Instruct storytelling and article structure to help learners craft compelling narratives • Guide learners in writing effective headlines and captions that capture audience attention • Facilitate training on copywriting for digital, social media, and websites to improve online content impact • Provide constructive feedback on learners’ writing to enhance clarity, style, and engagement • Utilize a strong portfolio of published work to demonstrate best practices and real-world applications Required competencies and certifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in journalism, editorial, media, communications, or copywriting • Background as a journalist, reporter, editor, writer, or columnist • ACLP-certified or currently ACLP-trained Preferred competencies and qualifications • Prior training or teaching experience • Excellent written and spoken English Other Information Please submit: • Updated resume • Portfolio of past and published work • 3–5 writing samples or article links • Brief summary of your writing and training experience • Proof of ACLP certification or training status
