Job Summary Support the Treasurer by maintaining accurate bookkeeping, processing payroll, managing accounts receivable/payable, and ensuring compliance with GST and audit requirements in a primarily remote, part-time role. Responsibilities • Maintain accurate bookkeeping by recording income, expenses, and bank transactions to ensure up-to-date financial records • Perform monthly account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data • Organize and maintain proper filing of accounting and finance documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness • Prepare and issue invoices to clients and monitor incoming payments to manage outstanding balances • Process supplier invoices and payments to maintain accurate accounts payable records • Process monthly payroll, maintain payroll records, and prepare payroll-related documentation to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation • Ensure CPF submissions are completed accurately and on time to comply with statutory requirements • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for GST submissions to meet regulatory deadlines • Maintain records required for audit and compliance purposes and liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed • Attend the office at least once per week to review and organize invoices, receipts, and supporting documents • Coordinate with the Treasurer on outstanding finance matters to support financial management Preferred competencies and qualifications • Prior bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting experience • Familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting practices • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently to meet deadlines
