Performance Tester

Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and execute performance test scenarios using tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner. • Conduct load, stress, endurance, and spike testing for enterprise applications. • Establish performance baselines and validate non-functional requirements (NFRs). • Analyse performance test results to identify bottlenecks, memory issues, thread contention, and latency. • Perform root cause analysis using application logs, system metrics, heap/thread dumps, and GC logs. • Work with development and infrastructure teams to recommend performance improvements. • Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins). • Maintain and enhance automated performance test suites. • Use APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk) to monitor application and infrastructure performance. Required Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. • 8+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing or performance engineering. • Strong experience with JMeter and/or LoadRunner. • Proficiency in analysing application, database, and infrastructure performance metrics. • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell, or tool-specific scripting). • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., banking, financial services, large platforms). • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
