Powerplant Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Quality Assurance & Compliance• Ensure all electrical works comply with:Project specificationsIndustry standardsRegulatory requirements • Conduct inspections and witness testing activities • Maintain accurate records of:Test resultsCommissioning reportsAs-built documentation • Support audits and client inspections Stakeholder & Site Coordination• Act as the electrical focal point on site for installation and commissioning matters • Coordinate with:Construction teamsCommissioning teamsQA/QC and HSE teamsClient and consultants • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues Safety & Risk Management• Ensure all electrical activities are carried out in compliance with HSE standards • Implement and enforce LOTO procedures during testing and energisation • Identify and mitigate risks associated with electrical works • Promote a strong safety culture on site Requirements• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical installation and commissioning within power projects • Strong hands-on experience with:LV/MV/HV switchgearPower transformers • Experience in:Testing & commissioning proceduresProtection relay testing and configuration • Familiarity with tools such as:PCM600 / DIGSI / MiCOM or equivalent • Ability to read and interpret:Single Line Diagrams (SLD)Protection schematicsElectrical layouts • Experience working on site-based power or substation projects • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Good communication skills and ability to represent the company on-site What’s on Offer• Opportunity to work on a major power / infrastructure project in Singapore • Hands-on exposure to critical electrical systems and commissioning activities • Fast-paced, technically challenging site environment • Competitive contract package with potential for extension Additional Information• This is a site-based role (not office-based) • Candidates must be comfortable working in a live electrical / construction environment • Immediate or short-notice candidates preferred.
